Ballet dancer and ballet and Pilates teacher.

Born in Lucca in Tuscany, I took my first dance steps in the school of my home town, directed by Maria Letizia Torrini, before going on to train as a ballet dancer under the guidance of Erna Bonk, dancer with the Royal Danish Ballet in Copenhagen.

This was followed by two specialist courses for professional dancers at the Social Theatre in Rovigo in Italy, with the masters Claudio Ronda, Pia Russo, Leila Troletti and Mauro Bigonzetti, the latter course focusing on technical virtuosities in ballet.

I was accepted on to the advanced training course offered by the theatre foundation of Italy’s oldest music festival, the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino in Florence after passing the audition with flying colours, studying with masters such asElisabetta Terabust, Aurora Benelli, Paul Chalmer and Fabrizio Monteverde.

In 2000 I was a finalist in the first edition of the “Città di Roma” (DanzaSì) dance competition, and in the same year I was chosen by master Amedeo Amodio for the “Officine della Danza” (“Dance Workshop”) seminar, organised by the city of Palermo.

I began my professional career in various classical ballet productions, including the “Nutcracker”, choreographed by Valerji Kovtun (of the National Opera of Ukraine) at the Slovene National Theatre Mariborwhere I also performed in the ballet “Zorba the Greek”, choreographed by master Lorca Massine, and for the internationally renowned choreographer Edward Clug, as well as performing in various opera productions as a solo dancer.
